We are very grateful to everyone who has supported the Wye Algae PhD appeal so far.
The good news is that thanks to some very generous donations, we have raised enough for the first and second year of the study.
This appeal is to raise the funds we need for a three-year PhD study that will determine, with certainty, exactly what is causing and driving the severe algal blooms that are afflicting the river. The funding will also enable the Foundation to support the project and disseminate findings to the public.
The appeal will remain open as we still need to raise £25,600 more for the third and final year of this project which will take place in 2024. If you have not yet supported this appeal please consider doing so. The reasons why it is so important for the river can be found via the link below.
